In 2016, The Urology Foundation will be running two training courses for urologists: Taking the Lead and SpRUCE

Skills training for Specialist Registrars applying for consultant posts

The fourth SpRUCE (Specialist Registrar in Urology Consultant Education) training programme will be held in February. The two day course put together by TUF, provides delegates with skills-based training to develop communication and influencing skills and helps prepare delegates for the leap to consultant status.

Support and Training for New Consultants

The third TUF Taking the Lead course will be held in 2016.  The objective of the course is to support consultants in the first half of their career who are looking for new challenges and who wish to lead change in their profession.

The Specialist Registrar in Urology and Consultant Education (SpRUCE) programme is aimed at Specialist Registrars due to complete their training and apply for consultant posts.

It's a skills based course focusing on interviewing skills.

Watch a short video about SpRUCE, with feedback from Specialist Registrars.

The first Specialist Registrar in Urology and Consultant Education (SpRUCE) programme ran in 2009. The sessions helped build interviewing skills for specialist registrars due to complete their training and apply for consultant posts.
