Research Scholarship Applications 2019

The Urology Foundation Annual Research Programme supports urological surgeons and consultant urological surgeons for a year of full-time scientific basic laboratory research into the diagnosis, causes and treatment of urological diseases.

We are an NIHR Partner. Find out how that can help you fund your research.

Our funding comes with the following provisions:

  • Research must be carried out in the UK or Ireland.
  • Applications are subject to rigorous review by our Academic Review Panel and our Scientific and Education Committee.
  • Successful scholars must provide a satisfactory progress report to secure the final grant instalment. You're also encouraged to submit abstracts to the British Association of Urological Surgeon’s (BAUS) Annual Meeting.

We accept research applications focused on any form of urological disease including bladder and kidney related diseases as well as incontinence and prostate conditions.

Applicants may be required to attend the Royal Society of Medicine on a date in March TBD to give a pitch presentation about their research.
